Give Thanks, with a grateful heart.

It's a long weekend, so we are doing our Cocktail post a little early. Tonight, we toast to Thanksgiving, a wonderful American tradition that brings together family, friends and feasting. We are drinking "Pumpkin Pie Shots", in honor of our favorite Turkey day dessert. Our backdrop tonight honors a member of our family who can't be here to share with us. Seth always said, "It isn't a holiday without Mom's animals dressed as human decorations". Pilgrim Turkeys, appropriate. Give thanks with a grateful heart.... Cheers Friends!

Chuck Henderson turns 75 years old

Tonight, we toast to Charles Albert Henderson, father of Mary Hildreth, Chris A. Henderson and Michelle Chaviano as well as Grandfather of many others. He is 75 today, and we are thankful for his life. His no nonsense personality, incredible ability to make the most complicated parts of life seem simple, and his example of love that fits any Corinthian letter to a 't', make him a gift to us every day. We chose the simple and economical to toast Chuck, because that's the way he'd like it. So pick up your glasses and toast to a great man - Happy Birthday Grampa Chuck!

Veteran's Day 2011

Tonight, we are drinking a concoction called a "Veteran". We toast all of you, those with us, and those now in a better place. I am especially thinking of those member of the "Ammo Dawgs", the 23rd Ordinance Company, who served with our Seth in Grafenwoehr Germany. We miss you all, and you are never far from our hearts and minds. A great big hug mixed with a loud "HOO AH!" to you friends!

Salute to Fall

This week's toast is to Fall, and we are drinking "Tequila Sunsets". The colors here in Central Illinois are more vibrant than ever, and we even get an extra hour added to our weekend. Many reasons to be grateful, so let's bring together our grateful hearts and offer a big round of applause to Nature and the season of change: CHEERS FRIENDS!!!
