A kiss for Momma

It's the Friday of Mother's Day weekend, so we are toasting to Mom's and Motherhood tonight. There will be plenty of flowers, berries, frilly things and happy thoughts to go around this weekend. But beneath it all, the truth is that Mother's are a strong force in our lives, sometimes for good and other times for well, not so good. The more time passes, the more you come to understand that the hand that rocked your cradle really has the potential to rock you forever. Mother's need to remember how incredible our influence is for the duration of our children's lives, even beyond our time here with them on earth. So tonight, while we do toast all our Mother friends, near and far, I also send a special toast of reminder and encouragement out to other Mothers. Treasure your role and never abuse the influence you have with the children you have been given. Maybe use this Sunday to think about your part in your kid's lives, and take stock of the future as it stands. Reach out to your higher power or inside and ask for special wisdom. Make this Mother's day a celebration of the next wonderful adventures that await you as a Mother. We are toasting with a concoction called, "A Kiss for Momma". CHEERS FRIENDS!
Recipe for 'Joy's Kiss for Momma'
2 oz. P.I.N.K. Vodka
2 oz. Blue Curacao
3 oz.Lemon Soda
Pour vodka and Lemon Soda into shaker with ice.  Shake hard and strain into martini glass. Gently pour Blue Curacao into glass so that it settles to the bottom.
